Intermediate Interior Designer

Job Description 

HGW Architecture is seeking a talented intermediate-level interior designer who thrives in a collaborative open studio environment. Successful candidate will be a part of a team that works on design-focused projects in a broad range of market sectors. HGW Architecture provides full-service interior, shell/core and site planning for clients in the Hospitality, High-end Single Family Residential, Multi-Family Residential, Higher Education, Healthcare, Life Science, Workplace, Zoological and Civic sectors. 

Qualifications/Candidate Requirements 

  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant interior design and project management experience 
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to collaborate with project design team 
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Able to mentor and lead junior staff through project design and execution   
  • Effectively time manage and prioritize deliverables working on several projects at one time 
  • Knowledge of interior design processes inclusive of programming, space planning, design concept development, and material and finish selections 
  • Ability to produce and coordinate a set of detailed construction documents 
  • Able to coordinate and effectively manage engineering consultants   
  • Graphic and presentation skills to communicate design intent  
  • Extensive knowledge of interior products and construction methods  
  • Able to manage and lead construction administration efforts on interior design projects 
  • Experience with FF&E specifications, dealer coordination, and procurement processes 
  • Knowledge of managing project and furniture budgets 
  • Interface with clients, consultants, end users, and contractor to deliver successful projects 
  • Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited University program  
  • Experience with variety of interior design project types 
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar  
  • NCIDQ Certification is preferred but not required 

Salary Range:

$78,000 – $105,000/year commensurate with experience plus year-end profit sharing, fully covered dental and healthcare coverage, 401k retirement matching, free parking and flexible work schedule.
