People, Site and Electricity celebrated under a large softly folded roof.

The electrical switching station functions as a gateway of electrical circuits and pedestrians to the UCSD campus. A softly folded roof form recalls former site landforms. Illuminated from below, the roof floats above the enclosing walls of the building and extends over the walkways. The roof canopy directs rainwater to a treatment system before flowing to the adjacent canyon.
