The new UC San Diego Triton training center bookends an open-air exercise courtyard connected to an existing building. Patterned tilt-up concrete walls enclose a strength and conditioning area. Playful shadows from the concrete reliefs on the facade, rhythmic placement of the windows and the articulated sloped roof suggest the kinetic character of the facility.
