Celebrating the play between a buildings mass and void.

Taking inspiration from the weathered bluffs of San Diego’s coastline, this residence is conceived of as a mass which is carefully eroded and carved to form negative spaces. This process of subtraction provides a variety of living spaces, balconies, patios, and courtyards for taking in the natural elements and extraordinary views.

Recognition:
- 2008 April, Home of the Month-Architectural Record
- 2010 Merit Award-American Institute of Architects San Diego
