The Denny Sanford Wildlife Explorers Basecamp (WEB) at the San Diego Zoo is a 3.5-acre immersive environment focused on nurturing empathy for wildlife and encouraging future caretakers of the planet. A featured aspect of the WEB is a focus on parallel play opportunities and full sensory and multi-faceted elements. The Basecamp’s eight exhibit buildings are dispersed throughout four ecosystems: Rainforest, Wild Woods, Marsh Meadows and Desert Dunes.
